Subcontracted to handle the site civil scopes, our team executed a comprehensive range of tasks with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the foundation for this stunning residential community was built to last.
Project Overview
The Eagle Lake Condos project demanded a seamless blend of technical expertise and adaptability to the unique terrain of Whitefish. Our scope began with initial site preparation, setting the stage for the development of five large condominium buildings and their accompanying detached garage structures. We kicked off with tree clearing, grubbing, topsoil stripping, and export, followed by the careful preparation of the subgrade to establish a stable base for construction.
Utility Installation
A critical component of this project was the installation of essential utilities. Our team expertly installed five domestic water services, five fire services, and five pressure sewer services, incorporating advanced EONE systems for optimal performance. Each utility required new taps to existing main lines in the street, a process we executed with precision to ensure reliability and compliance with local standards. Additionally, we installed approximately 1,000 linear feet of 12-inch storm drain, complete with all associated catch basins, to manage stormwater effectively.
Excavation and Grading
The five condo buildings and garage structures required extensive excavation for crawl spaces, a task our team handled with efficiency and care. We installed foundation drains in tandem with backfill operations to safeguard the buildings against moisture infiltration. Beyond the structures, site grading was a key focus, preparing the ground for concrete curb, sidewalk, and large aprons that would enhance accessibility and aesthetics. Our attention to detail in grading ensured proper drainage and a polished finish.
Final Touches
To complete our scope, we imported, placed, and compacted materials to set the stage for our asphalt paving subcontractor. The result was a smooth, durable surface ready for the final parking lot striping, marking the successful conclusion of our work on this transformative project.
